Design of a bespoke typeface for artist Paul Carter's text-based
artwork called 'Passenger'.
The typeface is used in 7 sites throughout Perth's Yagan Square in a
variety of guises: etched into sandstone, laser cut into corten steel,
form molded into structures and placed onto glass windows.
The words, from welfare worker and anthropologist, Daisy Bates,
describe the protest of Noongar woman Balbuk (1840–1907) against
colonial occupation.
